● Uniquely designed single-player and multiplayer modes
Bethesda left their mark on the gaming world with 1993’s first installation of the DOOM franchise. This fourth installment came out in 2017 and is very much akin to the original title, but much improved. The monsters are incredibly realistic and don’t follow basic fighting patterns that you can easily memorize.
You should also play DOOM because it’s a unique blend of horror and action. The colors in this breathtaking design will cause you to look over your shoulder during those midnight trips to the kitchen.

Play this game if you love fast-paced action with a little bit of strategy “sprinkled over.” Be careful, as this is one of those titles that you won’t be able to stop playing. Thank you Rockstar Games!
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice – One of the Best ps4 games out now (2019)
- Innovative combat system
- Interesting stealth and mobility mechanics
- Unique atmosphere of 16th century Japan
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice was published by Activision and developed by the legendary Japanese studio FromSoftware, the studio that brought us the Dark Souls series and Bloodborne. It’s one of the best new ps4 games that are out.
Take the role of Sekiro, a mysterious ninja with a prosthetic arm on a quest to find his kidnapped lord and find a way to stop a bloody conflict in 16th century Japan. Sneak and grapple your way through a mesmerizing recreation of feudal Japan mixed with fantasy elements.
If you’re worried that this game is as difficult as the infamous Souls series, you will be relieved. Although some of the mechanics and combat may feel similar, Sekiro brings us a different concept altogether.
The interesting combat system, based on reducing the posture and balance of enemies to prepare them for a killing blow, is like nothing you’ve ever experienced before. The game also features fewer RPG elements than previous FromSoftware titles, so the entire experience feels a bit more streamlined.
This title has taken the gaming world by storm – it has gotten great reviews all around, and is one of the best PS4 games out now (2019) that you can play.
Tom Clancy’s The Division 2
- Amazing graphics
- A fantastic game to play with friends
- Enormous amount of usable weapons and gear
Developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is a sequel to a promising game that had a rough start. However, it seems that most if not all of the issues are fixed in the second installment.
The game takes place in Washington D.C. during a post-apocalyptic conflict between survivors and various factions in the city.
It’s designed from the ground up to be a perfect co-op experience. While it can be played alone, it’s much better with a couple of friends. The main attraction in The Division 2 is the huge variety of loot that you can find. Venture into dangerous dark zones to acquire the best gear – but beware, as there is no guarantee that other players will not betray you in the end.
The Division 2 is a perfected and polished sequel. It takes what was good in the first game and builds up on it – and the result is one of the best games on the PS4.
Far Cry New Dawn
- Explore a bright and vibrant post-apocalyptic world
- Scavenge and gather resources to survive
- Upgrade your base, capture outposts and embark on dangerous expeditions
Far Cry New dawn was developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. The sequel to Far Cry 5 takes us back to the fictional Hope County in Montana, only after a nuclear apocalypse.
What’s interesting is that the post-apocalyptic setting isn’t what you would expect. The world of Far Cry New Dawn is colorful and fun, not grey and depressing.
Take advantage of the new scavenging and crafting systems to ensure you’re prepared for all dangers. Craft weapons to defend yourself, and vehicles to get around the landscape faster.
Enlist the aid of companions, explore and embark on expeditions to reimagined US landmarks with the aid of a friend in co-op mode. Far Cry has always been a fun series. With its signature style of humor and memorable characters, you don’t want to miss out on all the fun.
- Never before seen concept
- Great for co-op
- Thrilling open world survival gameplay
This is game is brought to us by Just Cause developers Avalanche Studios. Published by the studio in collaboration with THQ Nordic, Generation Zero has a very original concept.
Set in an alternate universe in the Swedish countryside during the 80’s, this ambitious project is an open world co-op survival shooter. Team up with up to three friends to survive breathtaking encounters with giant machines while exploring a mysterious world. There are no quest markers – exploration is organic and done at your own pace.
Featuring a beautifully rendered day/night cycle and switching seasons, you will always be amazed during gameplay.
These effects, from snow to rain, aren’t just cosmetic – they have an impact on gameplay and can affect how you choose to deal with your machine foes. Combat is difficult. The robots themselves vary in size from tiny to gigantic. When encountering a larger enemy, teamwork, misdirection, and aiming for weak spots are must-dos.
- Uncompromisingly old-school
- Interesting mixing of open world survival and RPG genres
- Challenging and rewarding
Developed by Nine Dots Studio and published by Deep Silver, the publisher that brought us Metro Exodus and Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Outward is a breath of fresh air. Most RPG games follow a similar structure. You take the role of a powerful hero with an important task. Outward takes that concept at turns it around completely.
In Outward, your character is not special in any way. You play a common villager. Quests are grounded and down to earth – for example, instead of fighting dragons, you have to pay off the debt on your house.
Outward is rigorously old-school. It provides the great RPG feeling that most gamers grew up with. There is no fast travel or map. The options for saving your game are severely limited. Progression is slow and tiresome, but that makes it rewarding.
Outward is an interesting mash-up the likes of which we haven’t seen before. It can feel too real at times – you can succumb to the cold, or an infected wound, and even not sleeping enough will kill you. Outward is a real blast from the past.
Mixing the difficulty of old RPG’s with new mechanics, this tough adventure shows us that you don’t need incredible graphics to make a good game. It will provide you with hours of fun and anticipation, and is one of the best PS4 games that you can buy.
Devil May Cry 5
- Fast-paced, stylish action
- Three different characters available to play
- A fun and rewarding upgrade and combo system
Developed and published by Capcom, DMC5 is the long-awaited sequel to a legendary franchise. The latest addition to the action adventure hack and slash series combines the old with the new in a perfect way. This is a polished product that will keep you glued to your console.
Devil May Cry 5 brings us masterful animations and a few new exciting additions to gameplay. Every character has a special set of equipment and abilities that are unlocked separately. The most important novelty is a third new character – V, whose combat style is completely different from Dante and Nero’s. With a wide variety of new weapons and equipment, gameplay still feels fresh and exciting.
The combat that we all know and love is back and improved. While Dante and Nero rely more on direct combat, the new character, V, relies on summoning demonic companions to fight for him. Once you master dodging and timing, you can enjoy a crisp and perfectly animated experience.
DMC5 is a perfect mix of old and new. Enemies and bosses are varied and unique, and the soundtrack fits perfectly, syncing with your performance in combat. All the new additions improve the game while keeping it’s charming and distinct foundation. This is definitely a title you do not want to miss.
Dead Or Alive 6
- Simple, easy to learn to combat system
- Strategic and fast-paced
- Flashy and interesting special moves
Developed by Team Ninja and published by Koei Tecmo, Dead or Alive 6 is another addition to a long-standing fighting game series. It adds a plethora of new features that have reinvigorated the franchise.
One of the best features is a comprehensive system of tutorials. This makes it easier to improve your skills and master all the mechanics in the game. Combat is fluid and rapid, with an intuitive mix of attacks and directional inputs. Finishing the tutorials will teach you how to best chain these attacks to defeat your rivals.
The new break gauge system adds a meter that fills up during fights. Once it’s full, you can perform special attacks. This adds a new sense of dynamism to fights.
Break blows, rushes and super attacks make the fight system even more frantic and exciting. Intuitive and easier than ever to master, this frenzied and flashy fighting game deserved a place in any PS4 collection.
Assassin’s Creed III Remastered
- Improved and polished graphics
- Plenty of DLC and bonus content included
- Includes Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation HD, previously a PlayStation Vita exclusive
Developed and published by Ubisoft, the remastered version of Assassin’s Creed III is a fantastic way to revisit this entry in the series. The updated graphics make for a more enjoyable and smoother experience than the original release.
On the graphics side of things, the new edition is 4K compatible at 30fps. All visual aspects of the game have been redone. The textures are crisp, and lighting is improved and realistic. The wilderness benefits from an entirely new sense of fidelity, making it easier to immerse yourself in the world of 18th-century colonial America.
The only aspect of graphics that isn’t as drastically improved is the animations – but this was unavoidable from a technical standpoint. But when compared to all the other benefits, this isn’t particularly visible or detracting from the experience.
Players will also get access to all the bonus content published after the original release. This is a fantastic way to experience the Tyranny of King Washington DLC if you haven’t played it or a great reason to revisit it. If that wasn’t enough, fans would also be able to play Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation, a spin-off originally published for the PlayStation Vita, also redesigned for 4K and HDR support.

- Open world survival
- Post-apocalyptic zombie horror
- Extensive crafting system
Days Gone is being developed by SIE Bend Studios and will be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The release date is April 26th, just a few weeks away, and we can’t wait. Days Gone will see you in the role of Deacon St. John, a motorcycle riding drifter and bounty hunter. The story will take place in a post-apocalyptic, volcanic vision of the Pacific Northwest.
This singleplayer experience has a story mode that is estimated to take 30 hours to finish. But the open nature of the game will have you sinking many more hours into this horror adventure. Crafting will play a big role in gameplay.
Fend off Freakers, Days Gone’s version of zombies, and hunt them down in their nests for valuable loot and materials. One of the key gameplay elements is your motorcycle, which can be upgraded too. This will be your sole means of transportation across the wasteland. You can’t summon it to your side, so you’ll have to be careful and cautious to keep it safe and nearby.
Fast travel is unlocked step by step by clearing Freaker nests, so you’re bound to explore a big part of the map manually. The teasers and demos look fantastic, and we can’t wait to get our hands on this game.
Days Gone Collector’s Edition
In case that isn’t enough to satiate your thirst, don’t worry. SIE Bend Studios is also offering a couple of more exclusives versions of the game that comes with loads of extra material and goodies. Pre-ordering will let you unlock a few upgrades for weapons and your motorcycle on day one.
The Digital Deluxe Edition will net you a mini artbook and the digital soundtrack, along with a couple of skins and an early skill unlock.
The Special edition contains everything the Digital Deluxe edition does, as well as a physical copy of the soundtrack and a 48-page artbook by Dark Horse comics. And last but not least, the Collector’s Edition will give you everything listed up to now, as well as an exclusive statuette of Deacon, a set of sew-on patches, 6 pins and 4 decals.
- Beautiful, huge open world environments
- Polished, enjoyable combat
- Exciting vehicle-based gameplay
Rage 2 is an upcoming first-person shooter in development by Avalanche Studios together with id Software, which will be published by Bethesda Softworks on May 14th. A sequel to the 2010 original, Rage 2 will be a fun, dystopian shooter set in a lawless wasteland.
Players will take the role of Walker, a wasteland ranger, and participate in a carnage of conflict with bandits, mutated beasts, evil corporations and different factions.
The combat mechanics are crisp and remind us of DOOM in the best possible way. The environments are varied and colorful, and the vehicle mechanics will let you explore this new world in style.
The fluid combat also includes vehicle combat, and you will find yourself in clashes with bandit convoys on the open road. The developers have promised that when it comes to vehicles “If you can see it, you can drive it” so we’re counting on a plethora of vehicles to use.
The surprise announcement of a sequel to 2010’s RAGE came out of nowhere, and this title is looking like one of the best new PS4 games coming out.
Mortal Kombat 11
- A well-known and expanded cast of characters
- A familiar but improved combat system
- New, imaginative and gory fatalities
In development by NetherRealm Studios, this game, which will be published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will release on April 23rd, just a couple of weeks from now. Mortal Kombat is one of the most iconic fighting game series.
With a tradition almost 30 years long, expectations are high. The story of Mortal Kombat X left us off with an uncertain stalemate and a lot of changes due to time travel. The new title picks up after the events of Mortal Kombat 9, and the story is, once again, intricately tied to time travel.
The roster is refreshed with a new playable character, Geras, who wields the power of time, and a new main villain, the mysterious Kronika. Gameplay wise, there are a couple of innovations. Where we previously had one bar for special attacks and moves like X-rays and breakers, this time we’re getting two – one for offense, and one for defense.
X-ray moves are replaced with two new types of attacks. The first are fatal blows, which you can only use when below 30% health. These moves can only be done once per game (not once per round) so there is an element of strategy involved
The second type of new attack is a crushing blow. Graphically similar to X-ray attacks, they are triggered by meeting certain criteria, like successfully using the same move a few times in a row. When it comes to defense, the new addition is flawless blocks.
If you perfectly time a block, you will get a brief chance for a counterattack. We’re excited to see how all these new gameplay changes will affect the style of play. After all, this is Mortal Kombat, so expectations are high. But one thing is certain – this will undoubtedly be one of the best PS4 games coming out.
